Analogue textures, spatial recordings, and carefully crafted synthesis. Sample packs and studio services for producers who work with tone.
About
Copper Room is the studio project of João Bonifácio — electronic music artist, producer, and engineer. Based in Porto, working between Europe and Los Angeles. Built around an extensive hardware synthesizer collection and analogue outboard gear.
The approach is improvisational by nature. Where others reach for presets, Bonifácio reaches for the instrument. The result is sound that carries the texture of its making.
Bonifácio studied songwriting with Brian Eno and has released the EPs Hanami (2020) and Lockdown Tapes (2022), the latter receiving international acclaim. He has performed at Paredes de Coura and was invited to the Digitópia project at Casa da Música — one of the world's most respected music institutions.
Copper Room is where that practice meets the craft of sound design — a working studio, a sample archive, and a place where records get made.
Currently working on TenTen, a new project with Pedro Petiz.

Services
01
Production
From initial concept to finished arrangement. An improvisational, hardware-first approach — building tracks that feel alive rather than assembled.
02
Mixing
Analogue and hybrid mixing through outboard gear. Every mix is shaped by ear, not by template — clarity, depth, and character in equal measure.
03
Mastering
Final polish through an analogue chain. Balanced for all listening environments without losing the texture that makes the record worth hearing.
Process
Every Copper Room pack is recorded through analogue signal chains. No emulation. The imperfections are intentional — they are the sound.
